[ARCHIVED] Man Arrested for a Assaulting Minor Child in Browndale

HONESDALE -- Wayne County District Attorney A.G. Howell announced the arrest of Frank Ciesielski, age 40, of Browndale, PA. He was charged with Aggravated Assault, a felony 1st degree, and Endangering Welfare of Children, a misdemeanor 1st degree.

According to the police criminal complaint affidavit of probable cause filed by the Wayne County Detectives, the charges stem from an incident that took place on February 15, 2022 on Main Street in Browndale, Clinton Township, Wayne County, PA when Ciesielski assaulted a minor child after an argument.  The child was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries.

An arrest warrant was issued for Ciesielski on June 9, 2022. However, he was not found or taken into custody until June 12, 2022, when he was arrested and held in Auburn, ME. for an unrelated domestic violence assault charge. After answering for that charge, he was held as a fugitive from justice until July 31, 2022, when he was transported back to Pennsylvania.

He was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Bonnie Carney and bail was set at $50,000. He was unable to post bail, so he was remanded to the Wayne County Correctional Facility. His next court appearance is scheduled for Aug. 10, at 9:00 am at the Wayne County Courthouse.
