Wayne County District Attorney A.G. Howell announced today the arrest of Tasean J. Muldrow, age 27, from Wilkes-Barre, PA. Muldrow was charged with Criminal Attempt to Commit Statutory Sexual Assault, graded as a felony 1st degree; Solicitation to Commit Statutory Sexual Assault, graded as a felony 1st degree; Unlawful Contact With Minors, graded as a felony 1st degree; Criminal Attempt to Commit Involuntary Deviate Sexual Assault, graded as a felony 1st degree; Solicitation to Commit Involuntary Deviate Sexual Assault, graded as a felony 1st degree; Criminal Use of Communication Facility, graded as a felony 3rd degree; and Corruption of Minors, a misdemeanor 1st degree.
According to the Police Criminal Complaint Affidavit of Probable Cause filed by the Wayne County Detectives, the incident began on February 3, 2022 when a county detective was working undercover on the internet, posing as a fifteen-year-old boy. All of the Wayne County Detectives are members of the PA Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. The detective was contacted by a twenty-seven-year-old man who initially identified himself as “Shawn”. Throughout the investigation, “Shawn” was identified as Tasean J. Muldrow.
Muldrow had conversations with the detective and discussed having sexual relations with the who Muldrow thought was a fifteen-year-old boy. Muldrow made arrangements to travel to Honesdale to meet with the boy to have sexual relations.
On February 28, 2022 at approximately 6:00 pm, Muldrow arrived at the pre-determined location within Honesdale Borough and was taken into custody. A preliminary hearing was conducted by Magisterial District Judge Dunsinger and
Muldrow was remanded to the Wayne County Correctional Facility on $100,000.00 cash bail.
Muldrow’s next court appearance is scheduled for March 9, 2022 at 9:00 am.
