HONESDALE -- Wayne County District Attorney A.G. Howell reports the following cases were addressed by Judge Janine Edwards in Thursday, Feb. 18:
DANIEL HANRAHAN, 30, of Hawley was sentenced to undergo incarceration in the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 6 months nor more than 23 ½ months for one count of Possessing Instrument of Crime (M1), one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance – Heroin (M) and one count of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, pay restitution in the amount of $270, participate in and cooperate with the drug and alcohol addiction treatment in accordance with his assessment, complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Course, and obtain employment or provide documentation from a doctor precluding him from employment. These incidents occurred October 8, 2020 in Paupack Township, June 17, 2020 in Honesdale Borough, and June 25, 2020 in Texas Township.
DAMON CODY EVERETT, 25, of Honesdale was sentenced to undergo incarceration at the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 4 months nor more than 12 months for one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Cocaine, (M). He was also ordered to pay the cost of prosecution, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with any recommendations for treatment, complete 25 hours of Community Service, undergo a mental health evaluation and comply with any recommendations for treatment. This incident occurred on August 22, 2019 in Honesdale Borough.
DENE ELLIOT HAYES, 22, of Honesdal was sentenced to undergo incarceration in the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 1 month nor more then 12 months for one count of Obstructing Administration of Law or Other Law Enforcement (M2). He was also ordered to pay the cost of prosecution, and undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with any recommendations for treatment. This incident occurred on August 13, 2020 in Honesdale Borough.
MATTHEW JOHN ONEILL, 41, of Honesdale was sentenced to undergo incarceration in the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 10 days nor more then 12 months, for one count of Retail Theft (M2) and one count of Retail Theft (F3). He was also ordered pay the cost of prosecution, pay a fine $100, pay restitution in the amount of $61.92, continue with mental health treatment and comply with any recommendations for treatment, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with any recommendations for treatment, and obtain employment or provide documentation from a doctor precluding him from employment.
BRANDON PHILLIP SKELTON, 36, of Lake Ariel was sentenced to undergo incarceration at the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 3 months nor more than 6 months, for one count of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol/Schedule 1 Controlled Substance (Marijuana) (M). He was also ordered to pay a mandatory minimum fine of $1,000, complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Course, participate in and cooperate with the drug and alcohol addiction treatment in accordance with his assessment. This incident occurred on April 6, 2019 in Salem Township.
TIFFANI NICOLE BIRD, 22, of Madisonville was sentenced to 60 months probation with 90 days house arrest through the SCRAM Program for one count of Driving Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance (Schedule 1) with a Minor occupant (M1). She was also ordered to pay the cost of prosecution, pay a mandatory minimum fine of $2,000, complete 100 hours of community service, pay restitution in the amount of $150, participate and cooperate with the drug and alcohol addiction treatment in accordance with her assessment, complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program, participate in mental health treatment and follow all recommended treatment, and obtain employment or provide documentation from a doctor precluding her from employment. This incident occurred on July 13, 2020 in Lake Township.
DAVID HADDEN, 40, of Honesdale was sentenced to 12 months of probation with 72 hours house arrest through the SCRAM Program for one count of Driving Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance (M) and one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance (Heroin) (M). He was also ordered to pay the cost of prosecution, pay a fine of $1,100.00, participate in and cooperate with the drug and alcohol addiction treatment in accordance with his assessment, and complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Course. This incident occurred on November 9, 2020 in Palmyra Township.
JEFFREY KOVALESKI, 48, of Waymart was sentenced to 12 months probation for one count of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol (M), one count of Driving While Operating Privileges Suspended/Revoked (S) and one count of False Identification to Law Enforcement (M3). He was also ordered to pay the cost of prosecution, pay a fine in the amount of $700, participate and cooperate with drug and alcohol addiction treatment in accordance with his assessment, complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Course, and undergo a mental health evaluation and comply with any recommendation for treatment. The incident’s occurred on May 17, 2020 in Canaan Township.
JESSICA MARUSHOCK, 41, of Throop was sentenced to 6 months probation with 72 hours house arrest through the SCRAM program for one count of Driving Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance II or III (M) and one count of Driving While Operating Privileges were Suspended/Revoked (S). She was also ordered to pay the cost of prosecution, pay a mandatory fine of $1,200, participate and cooperate with the drug and alcohol addiction treatment in accordance with her assessment, complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Course, and obtain employment or provide documentation from a doctor precluding her from employment. The incidents occurred on July 27, 2020 in Honesdale Borough.
