HONESDALE – A Honesdale man has been sentenced to up to five years in state prison for delivery of a controlled substance. Wayne County District Attorney A.G. Howell said Elija M. Watson, 33, of Honesdale, he was also ordered to pay the cost of prosecution for that October 22, 2017, incident in Salem Township.
President Judge Janine Edwards also handed down the following cases in Wayne County Court on Thursday, Oct. 28:
ROBERT JOHN ARMSTRONG III, age 35 of Carbondale Pa, was sentenced to a period of not less than 6 month nor more than 23 ½ months in the Wayne County Correctional Facility for one count of Simple Assault. He was also ordered to pay the cost of prosecution, undergo a mental health evaluation and follow all recommended treatment, and complete an anger management program. This incident occurred on August 11, 2020 in Manchester Township.
JEFFREY ROBERT DRUMM, age 38 of Honesdale Pa, was sentenced to a period of not less than 4 months nor more than 23 ½ months in the Wayne County Correctional Facility for two counts of Disorderly Conduct. He was also ordered to pay the cost of prosecution, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommended treatment, undergo a mental health evaluation and follow all recommended treatment, and complete an anger management program. This incident occurred on January 1, 2019, in Preston Township Township.
STEVEN MICHAEL GERHARDT, age 21 of Honesdale Pa, was sentenced to a period of not less that 3 months nor more than 24 months in the Wayne County Correctional Facility for one count of Corruption of Minors. He was also ordered to pay the cost of prosecution, have no contact with the victim, have no unsupervised contact with any child under the age of 18, undergo a psychosexual risk management assessment and follow all recommended treatment, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommended treatment, and obtain employment within 30 days of parole or provide documentation from his doctor precluding him from employment. This incident occurred on October 1, 2019, in Honesdale Borough.
ALEXANDER JAMES SMITH, age 19 of Hawley Pa, was sentenced to a period of not less than 45 days nor more than 18 months in the Wayne County Correctional Facility for one count of Criminal Mischief. He was also ordered to pay the cost of prosecution, pay restitution to the victims, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommended treatment, undergo a mental health evaluation and follow all recommended treatment, and obtain employment within 30 days of parole or provide documentation from his doctor precluding him from employment. This incident occurred May 1, 2020, in Honesdale Borough.
MICHAEL L. CRANDALL, age 52 of Lakewood Pa, was sentenced to 12 months probation and ordered to pay a fine of $500.00 for one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance- Marijuana and one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was also ordered to pay the cost of prosecution. This incident occurred on May 29, 2020, in Preston Township.
ALEXANDER FIEGELMAN, age 22 of Hawley Pa, was sentenced to 12 months probation for one count of Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana and one count of Criminal Mischief. He was also ordered to pay the cost of prosecution, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommended treatment, and continue with his mental health treatment. This incident occurred on December 31, 2019, in Manchester Township.
DAVID MICHAEL FOTUSKY, age 24 of Beach Lake Pa, was sentenced 6 months probation with 10 days house arrest through the SCRAM program and ordered to pay a fine of $500.00 for one count of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. He was also ordered to pay the cost of prosecution, pay restitution to the victim, participate and cooperate with drug and alcohol treatment, complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program and complete 25 hours of community service. This incident occurred on December 26, 2019, in Damascus Township.
ROBERT JAMES MCDEVITT, age 25 of Pleasant Mount Pa, was sentenced 6 months probation with 90 days house arrest through the SCRAM program for one count of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. He was also ordered to pay the cost of prosecution, pay a fine of $500.00, participate and cooperate with drug and alcohol addiction treatment, complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program, continue his mental health treatment and follow all recommended treatment, and complete 20 hours of community service. This incident occurred on June 6, 2020, in Dyberry Township.
SANTINA SAPRONA, age 27 of White Mills Pa, was sentenced to 6 months probation with 30 days house arrest through the SCRAM program for one count of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol – Highest Rate and one count of Driving without a License. She was also ordered to pay the cost of prosecution, to pay a fine of $1,200.00, participate and cooperate with drug and alcohol addiction treatment and follow all recommended treatment, continue mental health treatment and follow all recommended treatment, complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Course, and obtain employment within 30 days of sentencing or provide documentation from her doctor precluding her from employment. This incident occurred on November 23, 2019, in Salem Township.
ANDREW PAUL SWINGLE, age 30 of Honesdale Pa, was sentenced to 60 months probation with 6 months house arrest through the SCRAM program for one count of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol – Highest rate. He was also ordered to pay the cost of prosecution, pay a fine of $1,500.00, participate and cooperate with drug and alcohol treatment and follow all recommended treatment, complete the Alcohol Highway Safety program, participate in recovery services with the Wayne County Drug and Alcohol Specialist and follow all recommended treatment, attend AA/NA meetings at a minimum of one meeting per week, continue with mental health treatment and follow all recommended treatment, and complete 40 hours of community service. This incident occurred October 11, 2019, in Honesdale Borough.
CODY WASH, age 24 of Lake Ariel Pa, was sentenced to 6 months probation with 2 days house arrest through the SCRAM program for one count of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. He was also ordered to pay the cost of prosecution, pay a fine of $500.00, participate and cooperate with drug and alcohol treatment and follow all recommended treatment, complete the Alcohol Highway Safety program, and complete 25 hours of community service. This incident occurred December 26, 2019, in Lake Township.
