HONESDALE -- A Philadelphia man faces robbery and other charges after he and two others robbed the Tri-State Tobacco Store on Grandview Avenue in Honesdale back in October.
Police say Boozer and his accomplices stole in excess of $19,000 from that Texas Township store October 19 at approximately 6:30 am. Officers from the Philadelphia Police Department arrested Boozer during a traffic stop on January 10.
Robinson said, "The tobacco store clerk was assaulted, threatened and forced to open the safe. This kind of outrageous conduct cannot and will not be tolerated." He also praised PA State Police in both Wayne and Pike Counties, noting they did an outstanding job in investigating this case.
Boozer was arraigned before District Justice Linus Myers and remanded to the Wayne County Correctional Facility in lieu of $150,000 bail. His initial court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 23.
