[ARCHIVED] Terroristic Threats, Assault Lead to County Prison Sentence

HONESDALE – A Prompton man could spend up to nearly two years in county prison after pleading guilty in Wayne County Court to terroristic threats and simple assault.

Dylan McArthur, 20, has been ordered to spend six to 23.5 months in the Wayne County Correctional Facility on three counts of each charge, stemming from an incident in Honesdale Borough on March 7. He was also ordered to comply with drug & alcohol and mental health treatment recommendations, complete an anger management course and obtain employment within 30 days of parole.

President Judge Janine Edwards and Senior Judge Raymond Hamill also handed down the following sentences in Wayne County Court Thursday, Dec. 13:

JESSE NIKOLE MCNAMARA, 34, of Hawley was sentenced to the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 6 months nor more than 12 months, for one count of Possession of Controlled Substance-Crystal Meth (M). She was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution and undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation. The incident occurred on July 2 in Honesdale Borough.

CRYSTAL CHEREE MAYNOR, 34, of Gouldsboro was sentenced to the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 89 days nor more than 12 months, for one count of Possession of Controlled Substance-Hydrocodone and Oxycontin (M) and one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (M). She was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution and undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation. The incident occurred on September 17, 2014, in Lehigh Township.

CLYDE ROLLISON, 59, of Lake Ariel, was placed in the Intermediate Punishment Program for a total sentence of 12 months, 90 days for two counts of DUI (M) and two counts of Driving While Operating Privileges Suspended/Revoked (S). He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, pay fines in the total amount of $2,500, be placed on House Arrest with Electronic and Alcohol Monitoring for a period of 150 days, and participate in and cooperate with the drug and alcohol addiction treatment, undergo a mental health evaluation, and complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program. The incident occurred on May 18, 2018 and Sept. 9, 2016 in Salem and Lake Township. His BAC revealed a .083% and a .234%.

BRYAN ENGVALDSEN, 46, of Hawley was sentenced to the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period 30 days followed immediately by 60 months less 30 days in the Intermediate Punishment Program for one count of DUI (M1). He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, pay fines in the total amount of $1,500, be placed on House Arrest with Electronic and Alcohol Monitoring for a period of 90 days, participate in and cooperate with drug and alcohol addiction treatment, perform 50 hours of community service, and complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program. The incident occurred on May 19 in Honesdale Borough. His BAC revealed a .230%

SEAN LAWRENCE HERLIHY, 48, of Lake Ariel was placed in the Intermediate Punishment Program for a period of 6 months for one count DUI (M).  He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, pay fines in the total amount of $1,000, be placed on House Arrest with Electronic and Alcohol Monitoring for a period of 3 days, participate in and cooperate with the drug and alcohol addiction treatment, complete 25 hours of community service, and complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program. The incident occurred on March 28 in Salem Township. He refused chemical testing.

CRYSTAL CHAVEZ, 33, of Scranton was placed in the Intermediate Punishment Program for a period of 6 months for one count DUI (M).  She was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, pay fines in the total amount of $1,000, be placed on House Arrest with Electronic and Alcohol Monitoring for a period of 3 days, participate in and cooperate with the drug and alcohol addiction treatment, continue mental health treatment, and complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program. The incident occurred on April 7 in Honesdale Borough. Her blood test revealed a controlled substance.

MERRITT GARTON, 66, of Honesdale was sentenced to the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 48 hours nor more than 6 months for one count of DUI (M). He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, pay a fine in the amount of $500, participate in and cooperate with the drug and alcohol addiction treatment, complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program, and perform 20 hours of community service. The incident occurred on April 4 in Honesdale Borough. His BAC revealed a .126%.

WALTER LEWIS, 36, of Deposit, NY, was sentenced to the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 11 days nor more than 6 months for one count of DUI (M). He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, pay a fine in the amount of $1,000, participate in and cooperate with the drug and alcohol addiction treatment, and complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program. The incident occurred on April 4 in Buckingham Township. His BAC revealed a .193%.

JENNIFER PROCTOR, 41, of Bangor was placed on probation for a period of 24 months for one count of Criminal Conspiracy-Stalking (M1).  She was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, refrain from contact with the victim’s, perform 50 hours of community service within 6 months, and continue with ongoing mental health treatment. The incident occurred over a time period from May 22, 2018 to June 3, 2018, in Honesdale Borough, Wayne County.

BRADLEY COMMEAU, age 41 of Honesdale was placed on probation for a period of 18 months for one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver-Marijuana (M). He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, pay a fine in the amount of $1,000, comply with all recommendations of your drug and alcohol assessment, submit to the drawing of a DNA sample and pay $250 for the cost, and maintain employment. The incident occurred on April 23 in Honesdale Borough.

CODY KIZER, 27, of Moscow was placed on probation for a period of 12 months for one count of Recklessly Endangering Another Person (M2). He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation, continue with mental health treatment, and obtain employment within 30 days. The incident occurred on May 14 in Honesdale Borough.
