HONESDALE -- A man from Dingmans Ferry will spend up to seven years in the State Correctional Facility after pleading guilty to a felony charge of criminal trespass and a misdemeanor charge of recklessly endangering another. Erik Wolak, 37, was sentenced to 26 to 84 months in state prison and ordered to pay $1,100 in restitution for that May 18 incident in Bethany Borough.
The following sentences handed down by President Judge Janine Edwards and Senior Judge Raymond Hamill on Thursday, Dec. 6:
SHAWN DECKER, 44, of White Mills, was sentenced to the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 10 months nor more than 23 ½ months, for one count of Criminal Trespass (F2). He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, and undergo and a mental health evaluation. The incident occurred on July 30 in Texas Township.
LAURA HRICENAK, 31, of Greenfield Township, was placed on probation for a period of 6 months for one count of Retail Theft- Take Merchandise (M2). She was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, pay a fine in the amount of $50, and continue with ongoing mental health treatment. The incident occurred on December 12, 2017, in Texas Township.
THOMAS REECE, 38, of Tamaqua, was placed on probation for a period of 6 months for one count of Harassment (S) and one count of Simple Assault- Mutual Combat (M3). He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, pay a fine in the amount of $300, complete an anger management course, and maintain employment. The incident occurred on April 24, 2017, in Waymart Borough.
MABEL RACHT, 58, Avoca, was placed on probation for a period of 3 years for one count of Bad Checks (M1). She was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, pay restitution in the amount of $2,350.00, and resolve all outstanding warrants within 30 days of sentencing. The incident occurred on November 18, 2017, in Texas Township.
