[ARCHIVED] Criminal Sentences Handed Down in Wayne County Court

HONESDALE -- Wayne County President Judge Janine Edwards handed down the followinf sentences on Thursday, Dec. 31.

BRITTANY MICHELLE WORMUTH, 25, Honesdale was sentenced to undergo incarceration at the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 10 months nor more than 48 months for one count of Criminal Conspiracy-Engaging-Criminal Use of Communication Facility (F3), one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (M) and one count of Possession of Small Amount of Marijuana (M). She was also ordered to pay the cost of prosecution, comply with the recommendations of her drug and alcohol assessment and participate in treatment while incarcerated, undergo a mental health evaluation and comply with all recommendations for treatment, and obtain employment within 60 days of parole or provide documentation from a doctor precluding her from employment. These incidents took place on June 20, 2020 and August 13, 2020 in Honesdale Borough.

JULIAN HYLAND, 30, of Thompson was sentenced to undergo incarceration at the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 6 ½ months nor more than 23 ½ months for one count of Simple assault (M2) and one count of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol (M). He was also ordered to pay the cost of prosecution, pay a mandatory minimum fine of $500.00, complete an anger management course, undergo a mental health evaluation and comply with any recommendations for treatment, participate in and cooperate with the drug and alcohol addiction treatment in accordance with his assessment, complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program, and obtain employment within 60 days of parole or provide documentation from a doctor precluding him from employment. These incidents occurred on November 1, 2019 and August 29, 2020 in Preston Township.

CHANTELL KRATZER, 36, of Milanville was sentenced to undergo incarceration at the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 6 months nor more than 23 ½ months for one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver Heroin (F). She was also ordered to pay the cost of prosecution, participate and cooperate with the drug and alcohol addiction treatment in accordance with her assessment, and obtain employment within 60 days of parole or provide documentation from a doctor precluding her from employment. This incident occurred on August 25, 2020 in Cherry Ridge Township.

ROBERT SANZOVERINO, 59, of Long Eddy, NY, was sentenced to undergo incarceration at the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 6 months nor more than 23 ½ months for one count of Criminal Use of Communication Facility (F3). He was also ordered to pay the cost of prosecution, pay a fine of $500.00, and comply with all recommendations of his drug and alcohol assessment. This incident occurred on December 12, 2019 in Manchester Township.

ROBYN CHRISTINA SEIFERT, 37, of Scranton was sentenced to 12 months probation for one count of Endangering the Welfare of Children as Parent/Guardian (M1) and one count of False Reports to Law Enforcement Authorities (M3). She was also ordered to pay the cost of prosecution, continue with mental health treatment and comply with any recommendations for treatment, and undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with any recommendations for treatment. This incident occurred on December 8, 2019 in Prompton Borough.

DEREK FIGUEROA, 38, of Lake Ariel was sentenced to 6 months probation for one count of Driving Under The Influence of Alcohol (M). He was also ordered to pay the cost of prosecution, pay a mandatory minimum fine of $300.00, complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program, and participate and cooperate with the drug and alcohol addiction treatment in accordance with his assessment. This incident occurred on September 28, 2019 in Salem Township.

PAUL MICHAEL DZYAK, 39, of Newfoundland was sentenced to 12 months probation for one count of Disorderly Conduct (M), two counts of Defiant Trespass (M3), one count of Public Drunkenness (S) and one count of Harassment (S). He was also ordered to pay the cost of prosecution, pay a fine of $450, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with all recommendations for treatment, and maintain employment while on probation. These incidents occurred on February 3 and 4, 2020 in Dreher Township.

CHARLES KERMIT SERRANO, 19, of Scranton was sentenced to 6 months probation for one count of Recklessly Endangering Another Person (M2). He was also ordered to pay the cost of prosecution, pay a fine of $500.00, and continue with drug and alcohol treatment and comply with all recommendations. This incident occurred on October 15, 2019 in Sterling Township.

PATRICK WILLSON, 37, of Blakely was sentenced to 6 months probation with 48 hours House Arrest with Electronic and Alcohol Monitoring through the SCRAM program for one (1) count of Driving Under the Influence. He was also ordered to pay the cost of prosecution, pay a mandatory minimum fine of $500.00, participate and cooperate with the drug and alcohol addiction treatment in accordance with his assessment, complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program, and complete 25 hours of community service. This incident occurred on July 27, 2019 in Honesdale Borough.
