[ARCHIVED] Wayne Conservation Seeks Resource Conservationist

HONESDALE (Jan. 17, 2018) – The Wayne Conservation District has a job opening for a full-time Resource Conservationist.

The Wayne Conservation district is responsible through State law for the conservation of the natural resources of Wayne County.  The Resource Conservationist assists the District Board, staff and cooperating agencies in the conservation of the county’s resources.

The Position is full-time, based on 40 hours per week and is entitled to all full-time benefits provided to all Wayne County Employees. The base starting salary for this position is $29,919.88 per year with an increase of $500.00 for an Associate’s Degree or $1,000.00 for a Bachelor’s Degree.

Among other responsibilities, the successful candidate will function as an Erosion and Sediment (E&S) Pollution Control Inspector, receiving and responding to complaints relative to soil erosion. He or she will be responsible for site inspections of complaint sites and other earthmoving activities. The candidate must also review and process plans submitted regarding E&S controls and National Pollution Discharge Elimination System Permits.
