Mission Statement

As elected officials, we the Auditors of Wayne County are mandated to serve the public. In our capacity as auditors we are an independent source of verification of all county officers and minor judiciary. This includes preparing a detailed annual report of the financial condition of the county within the time constraints allowed by law.

It is our responsibility to oversee how and where county funds are spent. If we encounter any discrepancies or abuse of funds it is our duty to report them and if possible to make recommendations. Mindful that we are checking expenditures of the taxpayers’ money and we will execute our duties to the best of our abilities without prejudice.
