Alzheimer's/Dementia Workshop

The workshop will discuss "Understanding Alheimer's and Dementia" including symptoms and effect of the disease, other types of dementia, how Alheimer's affects the brain along with causes and risk factors. It will also look at "Effective Communication Strategies" by explaining the communication changes that take place throughout the course of the disease and decoding verbal and behavioral messages and respond in way that are helpful to the person. Also, Attorney Kevin R. Grebas, a Certified Elder Law Attorney, will discuss concerns for the aging, itellectual disabilities and special needs community.
