ChildrenServiceCenter

HONESDALE --The Wayne County Commissioners along with Wayne County Office of Behavioral and Developmental Programs and Early Intervention received several responses to the Request for Information that was released in September 2018 regarding comprehensive Behavioral Health services within Wayne County.

The Wayne County Behavioral Health Team reviewed the proposals and met with the licensed agency providers as part of the selection process.  We are pleased to announce The Children’s Service Center/ Robinson Counseling Center was chosen by the Wayne County Behavioral Health team to replace Merakey Behavioral Health Services – Wayne County.

The Children’s Service Center/ Robinson Counseling Center will provide the comprehensive services of Behavioral Health Rehabilitative Services, Family Based Services, Community and School Based Behavioral Services, Outpatient Psychiatric Services, Children’s Partial Hospitalization and Crisis Services to the consumers of Wayne County.

The transition of service providers from Merakey to The Children’s Service Center/ Robinson Counseling Center is a direct result of Merakey’s 60-day notice to end their services in Wayne County, which is effective on October 29.

All parties are working diligently to ensure a smooth transition from Merakey to The Children’s Service Center/Robinson Counseling Center.  The Wayne County Commissioners and Wayne County Office of Behavioral and Developmental Programs and Early Intervention appreciate The Children’s Service Center/ Robinson Counseling Center’s willingness to provide these services in Wayne County and look forward to a strong, positive, working relationship with The Children’s Service Center/ Robinson Counseling Center, which is based in Wilkes-Barre.
